Application
The EnOcean wireless window contact / transmitter can be installed on door or window frames. They can be used to communicate with the receiver which in turn is connected to the HVAC system. If the contact reports "contact open" the air-conditioning unit can be turned OFF or the blower speed and the temperature taken to a particular set point.

A window contact can be used to control a fume extractor hood, via an Easyclick flushmounted receiver Plus. If there is a fume extractor hood and an open fire, e.g. hearth, fireplace, or stove in the same room, the extractor can only be activated so long as a window contact reports "Window OPEN". This prevents an accumulation of CO in the room which the open fire might otherwise cause. The relay contact in the receiver switches ON as soon as the window contact reports OPEN. And vice versa the relay resets as soon as all window contacts report CLOSED. As an alternative a plug adapter receiver can be used.
